In this sacred place called Shadowcliff, nature’s daily lesson is about connection and transition. The bountiful flower and aspen displays last summer were nature’s response to a wet winter and more sunlight and nutrients as beetle-infested pines made way for this new life.
Volunteer for May Projects
May is a special volunteer month at Shadowcliff and is one of our richest traditions. Last May 25-30 volunteers spent time with us during the three weeks preceding Memorial Day, and another 30 or so arrived for the annual Memorial Day Volunteer Weekend. The Shadowcliff board coordinates the Memorial Day work weekend, and we already have some great new projects waiting for you!
Better World Retreat: Small Changes Make a Big Difference
If you care deeply about the state of the world but don’t have the time or energy to devote your whole life to a great cause, then this workshop is for you! Join acclaimed Better World Handbook authors Ellis Jones, Ross Haenfler and Brett Johnson July 25-29 as part of the Shadowcliff Sustainability Series.

Shadowcliff is dependent upon those who love and care about its presence as a mountain sanctuary and a place of learning to live in more sustainable ways on the planet. Memorial Weekend Silent Auction
For the sixth year, Joan Grant will lead Shadowcliff’s annual silent auction as part of our Memorial Day Volunteer Weekend and Celebration.
Open Cabin Dates for 2010
Dates are available for cabin rentals in the 2010 season. Fireside Cabin rates are $175 per night for the entire cabin, up to six persons; $125 per night for the upper level only, up to four persons; $100 per night for the lower level only for two persons. Riverbend Cabin is available for $135 per night for up to four persons.
