About the Bridging The Gap Environmental Excellence Awards
Each year Bridging The Gap celebrates and recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding businesses, individuals, volunteers and schools in the Kansas City metro area who are taking steps to protect and enhance our environment. Keep Kansas City Beautiful and Kansas City WildLands, both BTG affiliates, present awards to those who have contributed to creating a cleaner, more beautiful Kansas City and to those excelling in stewardship of the remnant natural communities in our region. Heartland Tree Alliance will present an award to those who take action and advocate for a healthy community forest. Bridging The Gap and the Mid-America Regional Council co-present the David Garcia Award for Environmental Excellence, a special award presented to a local organization or government who is a leader in collaborating to find solutions to regional environmental issues.
Award recipients will be honored at the 2010 Bridging The Gap Environmental Excellence Awards Ceremony on October 28 at Hallmark’s Corporate Headquarters.
